Nicklin Funeral Held at Selma

Survivors of Van Buren County Resident, 77, Found Dead in Home Include Brother.

Funeral services for I.W. Nicklin, 77, who was found dead in his home, were held Friday afternoon at the Selma Methodist church. The Rev. E.K. Parrott, of Douds, was assisted by Rev. Jay Waterman, of Cantril, a former pastor of the Selma church. Singers were Mrs. Art Hayden, Mrs. Ed Dooley, Mrs. Gerald Hughes and Mrs. Ralph Lepper. Members of the Odd Fellows lodge services as bearers, and the lodge services were held at the grave in the Iowaville cemetery north of Selma.

Mr. Nicklin, who lived alone, was found dead in his home at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by neighbors. It is thought he died Saturday night.

His entire life except for a few years in Wyoming and South Dakota, was spent in and near Selma. His parents and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include one brother, Eli Nicklin, of Emporia, Kan., who attended the funeral, and several nieces and nephews.
