Owen N. Jones of Douds Dies
**Handwritten: June 26 1942

Surviving Are Wife, 4 Sons, Daughter, 15 Grandchildren; Rites at Mt. Moriah Church.

Owen N. Jones, well-known retired farmer at Douds, died about 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening at the home of his daughter Mrs. Beryl Stagers of Douds. He was 76 years old and before coming to Van Buren county had operated a transfer business in Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, N.L. of Morrilton Ark., George of Cantril, Harold of Douds and Floyd of Fort Dodge, one daughter Mrs. Hazel Stagers of Douds, and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Moriah church near Douds at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. J.C. Austin. Singers were Mrs. Mabel Finney, Mrs. Mabel Daniels and Mrs. Maurice Ratcliff.

Burial was at the Mt. Moriah cemetery. The bearers were Arch Stump, Robert McDonough, Harry Williams, Frank Williams, Ira Morris and George Kerr.
