Alice Greenfield Dies in Hospital
Douds Resident, 61, Is Survived by Husband, 2 Sons, 3 Daughters; Rites Held Tuesday

Mrs. Alice Greenfield of Douds died at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Ottumwa hospital after a lingering illness. She was 61 years old and was a lifelong resident of the Douds community.

She is survived by her husband Ernest T. Greenfield; two son, Earl and Cyrus Greenfield of Douds, three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Snook of Fairfield, Mrs. Mabel Bingaman of Douds and Helen at home; two brothers, Earl and Hugh Findlay, and two sisters, Josephine and Mrs. Mattie ????, all of Leando.

Funeral services were held at the Leando church at 2 o'clock this afternoon in charge of the Rev. M.D. Wyatt. Singers were Mrs. Grace Morrison, Mrs. Downing, Forrest Hanshaw and C.E. Nicklin, with Mrs. Lizzie Pollock as pianist.

Burial was at Zion Lutheran cemetery north of Douds. The bearers were Robert Greenfield, Donald Greenfield, Ernest Snook, M.H. Finney, T.O. Nutt and Ellsworth Findlay.
