Final rites for James Sherman Graham, 82, were held at the Mt. Moriah Church Wednesday, August 6, with the Rev. J.C. Austin in charge. Music was given by Larry Pollock, with Miss Mabel Harrison as pianist.

Interment was in the Mt. Moriah cemetery with the Pedrick funeral home in charge. Pallbearers were Roy Greenfield, Vaughn Nicklin, J.E. Harrison, Harold Morrow, C.E. Nicklin and Paul Winsell.

James Sherman Graham, son of Samuel and Hannah Graham, was born December 14, 1864, in Nobel County, Ohio, and passed away Saturday, August 2, 1947, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Olive Scott, Weslaco, Texas, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 19 days.

He was married on June 30, 1892, to Lydia Snode, who preceded him in death March 4th, 1924. To this union were born three children, all of whom are living.

Mr. Graham was a long-time resident of the Mt. Moriah community, having lived over 50 years on the farm east of Selma, which was his permanent home. He was always active in community affairs and gave a great deal of his time and support to the Mt. Moriah church to which he belonged for over half a century.

Surviving are one son, Stanley, presently serving with occupation forces in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hanshaw of San Diego, Calif.; and Mrs. Olive Scott of Weslaco, Texas; four grandchildren; one brother, Charles A. Graham of Sarahsville, Ohio; other relatives; and many friends.
