Ida Lucille Doud, daughter of William and Effie Teter, was born Oct. 27, 1900, at Cantril, Iowa, and passed on August 22, 1948, age 47 years, ( months and 25 days.

She was married to Ralph W. Doud June 5, 1924. She lived her entire life in the Upton community.

She was converted in 1920 at a Methodist revival meeting in Bloomfield, Iowa. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Cantril and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Ralph W. Doud; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Nelson of Cantril and Mrs. Frank Peyton of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous relatives and friends.

The Rev. Lloyd Tenant of West Liberty, Iowa, officiated at the funeral services held at the Cantril Methodist church Thursday, August 26, at 1:30 p.m.

Burial was in the Cantril cemetery. Pallbearers included Tom Wellborn, Dick Saar, Craig Van Auken, Phil Morris, Leslie Daggs and Floyd Smith.

Relatives and friends from a distance, who attended the funeral of Mrs. Ralph Doud, were the Rev. Lloyd Tennant from Indiana; Mrs. Frank Peyton, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Leslie Parsons and Mr. and Mrs. George Morrow of Los Angeles, Calif.; Dr. F.L. Nelson, his son and daughter-in-law and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dominguez of Ottumwa; Charles Rodgers, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wirt and Mrs. Lena Stemple of Milton; Stanley Rodgers and Mrs. L.M. Troutman of Troy, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kerr, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Hoskinson and C.A. Wollem, of Memphis, Mo.; Kathleen Nelson, Iowa City; Atty. and Mrs. A.L. Doud of Douds; and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wililams(sp) of Keosauqua. The Williamses did the singing.
