J.A. Duvall Takes Life
**Handwritten: 47J.A. Duvall, who has been in poor health the past several months and seriously ill the last few days, died of self-inflicted gun wounds about five o'clock Tuesday evening. Mrs. Duvall had gone out to feed the chickens when she heard a shot. Returning to the house she found her husband dying. Coroner Harold W. Catcott pronounced the death a result of self inflicted gun wounds.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30, at the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. E. Allen Magill. Burial will be in Fellows cemetery.
Besides his wife, Sophia Clark Duvall, survivors include a son, Iska Duvall, Fairfield, a daughter, Mrs. Vina Bennett of Battleground, Wash., who is ill and will be unable to come for the funeral, a sister in Indiana, three brothers, two in Kentucky and one, George, of Selma. Mr. Duvall was preceded in death by his first wife and by a daughter, Leora.
