Mrs. F.W. Wichman Rites Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. F.W.Wichman, 77, of the Selma-Douds community, were held Saturday, June 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds. The Rev. B.W. Schlachtenhausen had charge of the services.

Special music was given by Mrs. Mabel Finney, Mrs. O.W. Sanford, Forrest Hanshaw, R.V. Finney, with Mrs. Harold Harryman as pianist. Interment was in the Leando cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers.

Barbar Marie Kunzman, daughter of C.F. and Barbara Kunzman, was born Oct. 6, 1870, and departed this life June 17, 1948, at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

She was married to F.W. Wichman on April 12, 1904, and on August 7, 1906, he passed away. She came with her parents to Iowa from Germany in 1887 and she spent most of her life in the Selma-Douds community.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Olive Seagres of Ottumwa, and 8 grandchildren; three brothers, William Kunzman of Springfield, Mo., Charles and John Kunzman of Douds; and two sisters, Lena Kunzman of Galesburg, Ill., and Mrs. Clyde Miller of Douds.
