Superintendent of Douds-Leando Consolidated Schools Is Survived by Wife and Son

Moris Fritz, superintendent of the Douds-Leando consolidated schools, died Thursday afternoon at Memorial hospital in Mt. Pleasant of pneumonia and complications. He had been a patient in the hospital six weeks preceding his death.

Mr. Fritz, who was 34 years old, had been superintendent of the Douds-Leando schools two years. He was the second Van Buren county school superintendent to die within a year. A.C. Wilkening, superintendent at Milton, died about the time school opened last fall.

Surviving Mr. Fritz are his wife and a son, Charles.

Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Pleasant Saturday afternoon by the Rev. E.K. Parrott of Douds. Burial was at the former home of the Fritz family in North Dakota.
