ELDON.-William Wallace Campbell, 67, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 3:40 a.m. today. He had been a patient since last Wednesday, having suffered a stroke.

He was born August 10, 1892, in Jefferson county, the son of James and Susan Walker Campbell. He was married August 29, 1914, at Fairfield, to Helen M. Gifford, who died February 11, 1960.

They moved to Douds in 1917, where they established a furniture and funeral business. In 1924, they moved to Eldon, where they had been in funeral business since.

He was a member of the Eldon Christian church, New Hope Masonic lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two sons, Gifford of Eldon and Roy of Flint, Mich., and four grandchildren.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Earl Menning, Christian church pastor. Burial will be in the Eldon cemetery.
