O.D. PARKER FUNERAL WAS HELD MONDAY

DOUD - O.D. Parker, 76, of Selma, died Saturday evening at the Resthaven home in Ottumwa. He had been in failing health a number of years but critically ill only three days.

He was born on a farm near Selma and spent his entire life in that vicinity. He was a farmer and stock raiser until failing health caused him to leave the farm 21 years ago. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. C.R. Stagers of DeWitt and Mrs. M.E. Lanmen of Selma; two sons, Rex of Enid, Okla., and Frank of Douds, a brother, W.E. Parker of Selma.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Selma Methodist church with the Rev. E.K. Parrott of Lovilia in charge.

Music was by Forrest Hanshaw, Jay Doud, R.W. Luce, and R.W. Jacobson, with Mrs. Harold Harryman, pianist. His grandsons were pallbearers.

Burial was at Bethlehem cemetery.
