BONAPARTE - Glen Bert Williams, 58, of rural Birmingham died Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. at Laughlin Hospital in Kirksville, Mo. He had been seriously ill two weeks and hospitalized.
Born Dec. 10, 1906, at Middletown, Mo., he was the son of Francis and Margaret Whiteside Williams. He was married Feb. 25, 1936, at Carthage Ill., to Eunice Huff, who survives.
He resided in Lee County 15 years, moving to near Birmingham in 1955.
A farmer, he was a member of the Mount Hamil Presbyterian Church, the IOOF Lodge at Bonaparte, IOOF Encampment and Rebekah Lodge at Fairfield.
Survivors besides the widow include a son Ronald G. of Fort Madison, a brother, Andy of Keosauqua; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nancy Jo; a sister and one brother.
The funeral with the Rev. Charles Grooms officiating will be at the Harrisburg Church Friday at 2:30 p.m. An IOOF service will be at graveside in Vale Cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. The body is at the Carl Wilson home in Bonaparte.
