Mirthel R. Mourer, 59, of Douds died November 30, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
She was born September 2, 1929, in Washington County to Oscar and Carried Gonder Mourer. She had lived in Ottumwa, Batavia, Agency and moved to Douds in 1980. She was owner and operator of a printing and advertising business in Tucson, Arizona. She had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1955 and was a member of Zion Bible Church in Douds.
She is survived by four sisters, Wanda Brewington of Batavia, Thelma Ames of Longbeach, California, Janette Courtney of Eldon and Alice Kelch of Tuscon(sp), Arizona; and two brothers, Willard of Batavia and Boyd of Agency.
The service was at 1 p.m. Saturday at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. Walter Shucka and the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial was in the Friends Cemetery in Richland.
Memorials have been established to American Cancer Association.
