Martha Jean Barker

Martha Jean Barker, 55, of Route 1, died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 9;30 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles McCracken, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Open visitation begins at noon Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Maple Hill Cemetery or charity of donor's choice.

Miss Barker was born July 11, 1936, in Packwood, the daughter of Fred A. and Elsie M. Ferguson Barker. She attended Packwood schools and worked on the family farm. Her hobbies were embroidery and flower gardening.

Surviving are her father; two brothers, Jim and John, both of Fairfield; three sisters, Marie Carter of Hillsboro, Alice Barker of Fairfield; Nancy Oldfield of Wellman; nieces and nephews. Her mother, a sister, Mary and a brother, Jackie, preceded her in death.
