Kathryn E. Overturff

Libertyville - Kathryn E. Overturff, 83, formerly of rural Libertyville, died early Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1993, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Harry and Mary Overturff in Gallatin, Tenn.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds. Open visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7 to 8 that night. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Overturff was born Jan. 23, 1910, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Guy and Mary Pierson Davisson. She married Hie?? Overturff on Oct. 25, 1947. He died Oct. 10, 1992. She lived most of her life in the Mount Zion Community, southwest of Libertyville, where she was a farm homemaker, and had operated a beauty shop in Douds. She was a member of the former Mount Zion Methodist Church.

In addition to her son, Harry, she is survived by three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dorsey; three brothers, Orville, Walter and Burl Davisson; and three sisters, Ruth Franklin, Melva Davisson in infancy, and Gladys Schimmelpfennig.
