KEOSAUQUA - Matt. A. Leyden, 84, retired farmer of near Birmingham, died Monday about 10 p.m. at Memorial Hospital following admission there about two hours earlier.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Boss and Ray, of near Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Huisman, Mrs. Abe Goemaat and Mrs. Albert Van Derwal, all of Birmingham; one brother, John Leyden of Trenton; a foster daughter, Mrs. Lena Oosthoek of Birmingham, and four grandchildren.

One daughter, a sister and a brother preceded him in death.

The body is at Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home.
