W.C. FRITZ DIED AT CANTRIL

William Carpenter Fritz was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, April 24, 1854 and died at his home near Cantril, Iowa, March 20, 1921, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 20 days.

While a small child he, with his parents, moved to Waukegan, Ill., where he lived until ten years of age and then moved to the Fritz homestead in Missouri.

On April 24, 1876, he was married to Rebecca C. Teter, who preceded him in death May 9, 1919. After their marriage they moved to the present home southeast of Cantril where he resided until death.

To this union were born three children, Leonard A. of Cantril, Bertram of Plains, Colo., and Violet H. of Cantril.

He had been in failing health for a number of years, and on August 17, 1919 was stricken with paralysis which caused his death.

He leaves to mourn their loss, two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren and one brother, C.G. Fritz of Gorin, Mo.

Before his health failed, he and his family attended church at Upton quite regularly. The funeral was held in the church at Upton and was largely attended. Burial was in the Cantril cemetery.
