Farmington- Funeral services were July 25 in the United Methodist church in Farmington for Mrs. Goldie M. Therme, 92, of Farmington who died Friday July 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John L. (Juanita) Johnson of West Burlington.The Rev. James Rosendaal officiated at the services. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery near Farmington.
Mrs. Therme was born Sept. 30, 1890 in Clark County, Missouri. She had spent all of her married life in or near Farmington. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist church, the United Methodist Women, the Rebekah Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star, the Royal Neighbors of America, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Farmington Cemetery Association.
On May 4, 1916 in Keokuk, she was married to Volney C. Therme who preceeded her in death.
She is survivied by a son, Manford T. Therme of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Verna Johnson of Farmington and Mrs. John Johnson of West Burlington with whom she had made her home the past two years; nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.She was preceeded in deathy by a son, a brother, two sisters and a grandchild. Her parents were David and Lenora Brock Rider. A memorial has been established. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
