MRS. FORREST CHANNEL

Mrs. Eva Caroline Channel of Fairfield died in the Fairfield hospital Tuesday, Oct. 6, after being critically ill there for nine days preceding her death.

She was born March 5, 1925, at Birmingham, the daughter of Rilles and Alice Ranard Pool.

She was married to Forrest Channel who survives. She has been employed as a clerk in the J.C. Penney store in Fairfield for the past two years.

Surviving besides her widower are a daughter Jalene, a junior in the Fairfield high school; four brothers, Joe, Wilson, Frank and Robert Pool all of Birmingham and three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Schleeter, Mrs. Ester Leyden of Birmingham and Mrs. Erma Hootman of Douds. Preceeding(sp) her in death were her parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Basil Tadlock and Rev. Charles Kerestly, in the Free Methodist church in Fairfield on Oct. 9. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
