BIRMINGHAM--Carl Henry Deuser, 67, of Birmingham died today at 3:10 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

Born April 3, 1897, at Hedrick he was the son of Christian and Emma Kielkopf Deuser. He married Elsie Johnson Aug. 18, 1926, at Hedrick. She survives.

Mr. Deuser had resided in the Birmingham community 22 years. A retired farmer, he was a former employe of Louden Manufacturing Co. in Fairfield.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Survivors besides the widow include two sons, Warren of Fairfield and Willis of Birmingham; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Warner of Bonaparte; four grandchildren, one brother, Louis of Los Angeles, Calif.

The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Deuser Cemetery near Martinsburg. The casket will be taken from Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont to the church Monday at 10 a.m.
