MRS. HENRY SADLER
**Handwritten: 1929

Minnie E., daughter of James and Margaret McGill, was born Nov. 8, 1859, at Grandview, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Douds May 25, 1929, aged 69 years, 6 months and 17 days. When nine years old she came with her parents to Van Buren county and has lived near and in Douds ever since that time.

She was united in marriage to Henry C. Sadler of Douds on Nov. 20, 1878. This home was blessed with four children: Robert R., Ernest W., Florence A., and Verda. These with the father and husband, all live to mourn her departure and cherish her memory. Two brothers have preceded her in death, one of whom was killed in the San Francisco disaster; also one sister, the first wife of Howard Baird. There are six grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers, Gilbert McGill of Ottumwa, Chester McGill of Centralia, Wash., and Cella of St. Joseph, Mo., and many other relatives, kind neighbors and true friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. church in Douds, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.H. Chader, who was assisted by a visiting and former pastor, Rev. W.H. Slack of Libertyville. The singing was by the Douds quartet, and Mrs. Clare McClure sang a solo. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in Mt. Moriah.
