Funeral services for Earl Carpenter of Milton, former Fairfield resident, were held Monday at the Christian Church in Milton. Burial was at Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton with military rites.
He died Nov. 19 at Van Buren County Hospital. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Carpenter was an employee of the Cable Lumber Yard in Fairfield before the family moved to Milton. Prior to this, he managed the lumber yard in Lockridge.
Attending the service were: Mary Helfenstine, Mrs. Emory Crane, Ruth Sharpe and Bernard Graber of Lockridge; Helen Roth and Faith Slosser of Fairfield.
