Obitnary(sp) of Mrs. Geo. W. Rambo
**Handwritten: 1923Jane Elizabeth Farr, third daughter of John H. and Ellen Farr, was born near Zanesville, Ohio, November 21, 1830, and passed away at her home in Leando, Iowa, September 3, 1923, at the ripe old age of 92 years, 9 months and 12 days.
She was united in marriage to George W. Rambo, September 7, 1845. To this union were born eight sons and five daughters. Her husband and six children preceded her in death. Of the immediate family left to mourn there are four daughters and three sons-Mrs. Annie Shaffer, Mrs. Eliza Parsons, Mrs. Allie Grimsley, of Leando; Mrs. Rebecca Grimsley, of Mystic, Io.; C.F. Rambo, of Pratt, Kansas; George Rambo, of Glenwood, Mo., and Dr. D.T. Rambo, of Ottumwa. She also leaves 44 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rambo united with the M.E. church in early girlhood and lived a devoted Christian all her life. She was one of Ban Buren county's worthy pioneers and helped raise a large family who grew up to be an honor to their parents and highly esteemed citizens. Each of the parents lived to be about 93.
Funeral services were held at the home at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, and burial was in the Leando cemetery.

Death of a Real PioneerMrs. Jane F. Rambo, a pioneer mother or this county, died at her home at Leando, Monday, September 3, at the advanced age of nearly 94. Her husband, George Rambo, passed away July 2, 1919, aged 93. She is survived by eight children: Dr. D.T. Rambo, Ottumwa; Charles Rambo, Oklahoma City; George Rambo, Glenwood, Mo.; Mrs. Anna Schaffer, Mrs. Eliza Parsons, and Mrs. Rebecca Grimsley, of Leando, and Mrs. Alice Carter, of Mystic, Io. Six children preceded her in death, one of whom was Keosauqua's esteemed citizen, former clerk of the court C.C. Rambo. Funeral services were at the home at 2 p.m. Wednesday and burial at Leando cemetery. We shall expect an obituary.
