F. Faulkner Dies At 73

KEOSAUQUA - Fred W. Faulkner, 73, retired Keosauqua business man, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Van Buren County memorial Hospital.

Last rites will be Friday, July 29 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. The Rev. Harold Schnedler, Congregational pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery.

Faulkner was born in Fairfield on Jan. 1, 1904, the son of William H. and Marguerite Franz Faulkner. He was graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Parsons College. He married Mildred C. Larson in Ottumwa on May 16, 1928. She survives.

Also surviving are three brothers: John and Bert both of Keosauqua and Harry of Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Marguerite Ranard of Des Moines and Mrs. Jane Briggs of Fairfield.

A Keosauqua resident most of his life, Faulkner formerly operated the Goodie Garden Café and ice cream factory, and a refrigeration business. He had retired after several years in the merchandising department of Barker Products Co.
