Lena H. DeHart

Lena H. DeHart, 86, of Wickenburg, Ariz., died of a stroke on Saturday, July 13, 1991, in the Wickenburg Hospital.

The body was cremated and a memorial service was held today in Wickenburg. The ashes will be buried in Purdom Cemetery at Keosauqua at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Alzheimer's Foundation.

Mrs. DeHart was born Oct. 28, 1904, in Keosauqua, the daughter of John and Lottie Kreiss. She married Ernest L. DeHart on Sept. 14, 1923. He died in May 1984. She was a dietitian for the Wickenburg schools and after retiring was a volunteer for the senior citizen group, Wise Owl, putting in more than 14,000 hours.

Surviving are three sons, Leroy and Douglas, both of Fairfield, Ronald of Glendale, Ariz.; three daughters, Dorothy Keller and Lou Ann Turner, both of Fairfield, Carol Edmonston of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren 18 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lottie Bowen of Marshalltown and a brother, John Kreiss of Mount Pleasant. Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
