Annabelle Jester (rites Friday)

Annabelle Jester, 66, 308 E. Monroe, died at 8 p.m. Monday at Nelson Nursing Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Kilbourne Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday., Friends may call starting at noon Wednesday. Memorials have been established to VFW Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Jester was born July 26, 1921 in Cavlaien, N.D., the daughter of O.C. and Gertrude Kellog Wright. She married Bert V. Jester April 27, 1946 in Kahoka, Mo. A homemaker, she had lived in Fairfield for the last 21 years and before that in Keosauqua. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Eagles.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Bert, Charles Mike, both of Fairfield, Jim of Kilbourne; three daughters, Bonnie Scotton, Marlene Burford, both of Fairfield, Deborah Proctor of Batavia; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Gene Wright of Birmingham and two sisters, Maxine Adams of Fairfield and Pauline Wallace of Ottumwa. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
