Obituery(sp) of Charles Lloyd Yarnell
**Handwritten: 1926

Charles Lloyd Yarnell, son of Eli and Lucy Yarnell, was born Sept. 7, 1866, at Birmingham, Iowa, and passed away after a few days' illness, at his home in Douds, Iowa, Nov. 3, 1926, aged 60 years, 1 month and 26 days. His entire life was spent in Van Buren county with the exception of a few years spent in Montana and other parts of the west.

Lloyd was well and favorably known for his kindness and sympathy to those in need and sorrow, and will be mourned by a host of relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his passing four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Thomas Horn, of Douds; Mrs. John Grimes, of Fairfield; Mrs. Deb Cramer, of Canton, Illionois; Mrs. Eva Lawson, of Birmingham; Frank, of Leando, and Ed, of Birmingham; also 12 nephews and 14 nieces. His father, mother and one sister, Mrs. Emma Davidson, preceded him in death.

The funeral service was held in the Methodist church in Douds, Iowa, conducted by Rev. Rowe. Interment was in the Maple Hill cemetery at Birmingham. The service at the grave was conducted by the Odd Fellows' lodge, of which he was a member.

**Sister Luella Gertrude Yarnell is married to Thomas Horn. I do limited research in both the YARNELL and HORN lineage.**
