LYDIA A. MORROW.

Lydia Ann Armentrout, daughter of Michael D. and Mary A. Armentrout, was born near Selma May 31, 1847, and departed this life July 9, 1923, at the age of 76 years 1 month and 9 days.

She was married to Sulvanus S. Morrow December 1, 1864, he preceding her in death May 1, 1922. To this union were born seven children, five preceding her in death, namely, Lewis E., George M., Leroy, an infant son and RoDella D. Those living to mourn her death are Charles W. of Chickasha, Okla., and Guy of Des Moinet, N.M. Two grandchildren, Willie Sulvanus, son of Guy and Cora Morrow, and Reva DeEtta, daughter of Seth and RoDella Harryman; one brother, Peter Armentrout, of Selma; one sister, Lucinda Soper, of White Elm, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Morrow was converted in her early girlhood and united with the Mt. Moriah M.E. church, of which she remained a member all her life.

She was a lover of her home. One of her greatest trials was in parting with the home where she spent all her life and reared her family.

After a short service, held in the funeral parlors of W.W. Campbell, undertaker at Douds, the body was taken to the Mt. Moriah church, where funeral services were hold at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, July 13, 1923, conducted by Rev. Charles L. Ellis of Blakesburg, assisted by Rev. F.M. Garrett of Douds. Burial was made in Mt. Moriah cemetery. - Contributed
