Clay M. Lanman

Clay M. Lanman, 78, of Keosauqua died at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 in Keosauqua Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial of cremains with military honors by Beer-Barker Post will be in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Family visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. Memorials to Van Buren Historical Society Log Cabin, Keosauqua Public Library or a charity of the donor's choice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 177, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. Lanman was born Aug. 22, 1922, on Vernon Prairie, southwest of Bonaparte, the son of Emery S. and Anna Stump Lanman. He married Hazelle Nelson Feb. 14, 1948, in First Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Patricia and Ramona Lanman and Leilani Cummings, all of Keosauqua, Christie Daugherty of Truro and Deborah Bishop of Decorah; one son, Michael Lanman of South English; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
