Wanda Poniatowski, 87, of Keosauqua died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Thomas Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock, Mich.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Poniatowski was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Antoni and Stella Szydlowski. She married Theodore J. Poniatowski. He died in 1956.
She grew up in Michigan. She and her husband operated a restaurant in Belleville, Mich. She lived in Nevada for several years, where she was a department store salesman. She retired to Fairfield and then entered Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua Jan. 11, 1995.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Marlene L. Stage and her husband David, of Birmingham; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Mesaros of Commerce Township, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Helen Monberg.
