KEOSAUQUA - Marie L. Morris, 69, of rural Keosauqua, died at 7:55 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 1996, at Van Buren County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Stockport Christian Church, with Milton Duhon and Ellis Beeman, pastors, officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery. Visitation will be open at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials to her church may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morris was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Fairfield, the daughter of Louis and Effie Hillman Chapuis. She graduated from Stockport High School in 1944. On April 10, 1948, she married Darrell R. Morris at First Christian Church in Fairfield. She farmed with her husband between Stockport and Keosauqua, and for 19 years was employed in the dietary department of Van Buren County Hospital. She was a member of Stockport Christian Church, Van Buren County Republican Women, Van Buren County Farm Bureau, and was a past matron of Lynds Chapter 27, Order of Eastern Star in Keosauqua.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Juanita Kingsbury, and a son, Keith, both of Keosauqua; and three, grandchildren. Her parents, and a son, Raymond Darrell, preceded her in death.
