--Frank Selvy, aged about 26 years as we are informed, whose home is in Birmingham, was killed by the cars at Farmington about 8:30 Monday evening. The word that we have is that he was intoxicated and attempted to steal a ride on an outgoing freight of the Southwestern road, and when down towards the Rock Island depot fell off, seven cars passing over him, cutting off both legs near the body and one arm at the wrist. He only lived a few moments, but during the time recognized acquaintance. E.H. Skinner, of Birmingham, happened to be in town and telegraphed to his relatives at that place, and Dr. Pitt Norris at once went down and had the body taken to Birmingham, Tuesday, for burial. The deceased was a single man.
