Daniel L. Greenfield, 44, of Coweta, Okla., former area resident, died Monday, Jan. 22, 1996, at his home.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coweta, with the Rev. Bryan Morgan officiating. Committal prayers and burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with full military honors by the United States Army of Fort Sill, Okla. Wright Funeral Home in Coweta is in charge of arrangements.
Greenfield was born Dec. 21, 1951, in Keosauqua, the son of Daniel C. and Evelyn Cook Greenfield. He was educated in Fairfield, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1970. On Feb. 14, 1976, he married Paula D. Rimer. He enlisted in the National Guard in May, 1970, moved to active duty in the United States Army in January 1973 and was honorably discharge Jan. 31, 1994, after 23 years of service. He was an E7 sergeant first class and was a nuclear weapons specialist. He was a member of Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion and the DAV Post in Coweta. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Cory at home; a daughter, Abigail Greenfield at home; his mother of Wellman; two sisters, Donna Shirkey of Wellman and Gloria Bradtke of Tampa, Fla. His father preceded him in death.
