WALLINGFORD, CUMMINGS

W.H. Wallingford.

William H. Wallingford, second son of Henry and Elizabeth Wallingford, was born in Harrisburg Township, July 12, 1883, died at his home late Saturday night, Dec. 18, 1920, aged 37 years, 5 months and 3 days.

He was a descendant of the old English stock, who came to this country in 1776 and settled in New England in early colonial days.

William grew up with other boys in the neighborhood and obtained his education at the district school. He was married to Miss Isabel Cummings, Sept. 26, 1906, and began housekeeping on a farm two miles North of the old home place. His brother, called his "twin brother" was desirous of having William near him, the farm was purchased adjoining his and here William lived the remainder of his mortal life.

William was an exemplary young young man, a hard worker, and a fine fellow. His departure causes great grief. He leaves Father, (Mother having died three years previous,) a grief stricken companion, six brothers, four sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. One sister, Daisy, a deceased.

The funeral was conducted at the Harrisburg Church by Rev. F.M. James, and interment in the Vale Cemetery. "I will not say, I cannot say that he is dead, he is just away."
