ROBINSON, BEER, LORTON, CASE, WOLFE

Waitman Robinson.

Waitman Robinson was born in Calhoun county, West Virginia, December 11, 1852, and died at his home in Bonaparte, Iowa, November 13, 1919, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 2 days. He with his parents moved to Van Buren county, Iowa, in the fall of 1862 and settled near Vernon.

He was united in marriage to Miss Eliza Beer on June 7, 1877. To this union were born five children. He lived on his farm in Vernon township until the spring of 1916, when, owing to failing health, he moved to Bonaparte, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a quiet and industrious citizen, a kind father, and a good neighbor, always ready to do a good turn when possible.

He bore his illness with patience, looking forward to regaining his strength until the end.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, one son, Charles of Ault, Colo.; four daughters, Jessie Lorton of Mt. Sterling, Iowa; Lettie Case of Plainview, Texas; Bernetta Wolfe of Bentonsport, and Iona of Bonaparte; 9 grandchildren, and a host of neighbors and friends. His loved ones were at his bedside when he passed to the Great Beyond.

Mr. Robinson was the last of a family of eight children.

Funeral services were held at the late home on Saturday afternoon, Rev. Mason of Hamilton, Ill., preached the sermon. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
