Thos. Ervin fell the Friday before Christmas and broke his hip. He was living with his daughter, Mrs. W.H. Brooker, at Hutchinson, Kansas. They gave him the best care possible, but his age, ninety one, was so great that there was no hope of his recovering. He quietly passed from earth Sunday, Dec. 29.

He leaves to mourn their loss, an aged and loving wife, two daughters, Mrs. W.H. Brooker of Hutchison, Kansas, and Mrs. Ella Warway of Mt. Pleasant, iowa; and one son, Thos. Ervin, of Omaha, Neb.

The Ervin family lived in Bonaparte many years, Mr. Irvin being a carder in the Meek woolen mills. The many friends here extend sympathy to the wife and children in their bereavement.

Mr. Ervin was born in Ohio in 1821 and at the time of his death was nine-one years old. He made his home in Iowa for 52 years.
