Death of J.A. Telander.

John August Telander, proprietor of the Pilot House at Farmington for the past 30 years, died Nov. 3, 1909. He was born in the southern part of Sweden, Dec. 31, 1842. He came to America in 1867 and was married to Miss Christina C. Davidson, who survives. He was a good citizen. His integrity was unqustioned(sp) and the hotel that he and his wife kept for so long is one of the most popular, with the traveling public, in this section of the state. Its splendid meals and good beds are known far and wide.

The funeral was held Nov. 5, Rev. Goodenough in charge of the services, the burial being in the Farmington cemetery. He will be greatly missed by the people of Farmington. It is thought Mrs. Telander will continue to run the hotel, though this is not certain.
