Albert Phillips died at his home in Henry county township, Monday, July 5, after a lingering illness. He was born in Madison county, Ohio, eighty-one years ago. He came to Iowa in 1843 and settled on what is now the Watkins farm. Dec. 20, 1865 he was married to Clarison Bradford and to them two sons were born, Oliver A. who resides on the farm southeast of Keosauqua, and George who lives at Longmont, Colo. He also leaves a brother, Ira Phillips of Ottumwa, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Watkins of Keosauqua.
Funeral services were held at the late home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C.E. Perkins officiating, with burial in the Prall cemetery.
