Mrs. Martin Hornbaker.

Mrs. Sarah Hornbaker, wife of Martin Hornbaker, died at her home 2 1-2 miles southwest of Bonaprte, Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 1915, age 69 years, 10 months and 22 days. Funeral services were held at the house Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. P.H. Hawk of Farmington, interment in Thompson cemetery.

Sarah A. Tompkins was the oldest daughter of Euria and Catherine Thompkins, and the oldest of seven children, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. The brothers are deceased, Albert dying Aug. 5, 1900, John, July, 1905. The sisters are all living, Mrs. Elizabeth House, Mrs. Mary Cummins and Mrs. Emma Perkins of Bonaparte and Mrs. Eliza Overhulser of Luray, Mo.

Sarah A. Thompkins was united in marriage with Martin Hornbaker, March 1869. To this union were born three children, Marion F. and Clarence H. living near the old home and Orlando W. of Belgrade, Mont.

She is survived by her husband and the three children named above; also 3 grandchildren, 4 sisters and a host of friends. She was born and raised in Farmington township, always living in the same place from the time of her marriage until her death. She was always thinking of home, flowers and such things that make a happy and cheerful home. She bore her sickness with patience, hoping others wouldn't have to be sick as long as she.

Mrs. Hornbaker was a kind and loving wife and mother, always looking to the welfare of others, her motto, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." During her last days of sickness she often spoke of wanting to go home, on being asked, "What home, your Heavenly Home?" she replied, "Yes." She also asked, "will the Church be opened," she was told, "the Church is always open." Although she never united with the Church militant, we trust she has joined the Church triumphant.
