Mrs. Samuel Minnich.

Monday, Oct. 23, 1916, Mrs. Samuel Minnich, whose maiden name was Julia Amick, died at her home in Keosauqua, Iowa, aged 87 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was born in Bedford, Pa., Dec. 25, 1849, the husband dying a few months ago. Mr. and Mrs. Minnich located to Keosauqua in October, 1852, which was ever afterwards her home. Four children survive. They are Mrs. Sarah Ridell, John and Mary Minnich of Keosauqua and Mrs. Lyda Beer of Keokuk. All were present at the funeral. Mrs. Minnich was a good woman and was esteemed and loved by all who knew her. She will be missed and mourned in the community where she has lived for 64 years. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church at 2:30 p.m., Oct. 24, in charge of Rev. C.E. Perkins. Burial was by the side of her husband in Purdom cemetery.
