Flora, daughter of Richard and Maria Pender, was born May 18, 1856, near Bentonsport, Van Buren county, Iowa. She grew to womanhood in that vicinity and was married to Jacob Fritsinger, Aug. 30, 188?, settling on a farm in Harrisburg township where since the home has been made. Her husband preceded her in death June 8, 1896.

To this union were born three children, Fred J., Mary l., and Craig B., all of whom survive her. She departed this life April 18, 1916, aged 59 years and 11 months.

Deceased united with the Bonaparte Baptist church about twenty years ago, where she remained a faithful member, was of a kind loving disposition, just and benevolent, in her deeds, and thus won to herself many friends, who with her children, two sisters, two brothers, and other immediate relatives are left to mourn her early demise.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Bonaparte Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Nelson of Farmington in charge. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
