McDonald.
Lottie E., daughter of Henry L. Easling, was born November 12, 1868, in Van Buren county, Ia., where she grew to woman hood and was unietd(sp) in marriage to R.E. McDonald February 11, 1893. They made their home in the same community until December, 1915, when they removed to Burlington, locating at 1100 S. Tenth street, where her death occurred at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, 1916, following an illness of three weeks.
She is survived by the husband, daughter Ethel and son Charles at home. Her father and stepmother reside at San Diego, Ca. There are five five(err) sisters and three mothers (err: brothers) as follows: Mrs. E.G. Cuddy, Centerville, Ia.; Mrs. Blanche Wolfe, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. J.D. Loofbourrow, Fairfield, Ia.; Miss Margaret Easling, Bonaparte, Ia.; Mrs. Charles Neale, El Paso, Tex.; Miner and Ralph Easling of San Diego, Cal., and Stanley Easling of Los Angeles, Cal.
Early in life she was converted and at the age of 16 united with the Harrisburgh Baptist church in the home community. After her marriage she became a member of the M.E. church at Hillsboro with her husband, and on their removal to this city they at once united with the Grace M.E. church.
Tho the residence of the family among us has been short, Mrs. McDonald made many warm friends, especially in church circles, where by her interest and activity and sweet Christian spirit she greatly endeared herself to all whose privilege it was to know her. These friends, with those among whom she was reared and who were her associates in church and community until so recently, together mourn her departure and together extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
