Nov. 13, 1908, at the home of her son Albert Dunn in Kansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Lucinda Dunn passed to the world beyond following a sickness of only six days with pneumnia. The day previous to the end she seemed much better and relatives thought she would recover, but a sudden change came and death soon followed.
Most of Mrs. Dunn's life was passed in Van Buren county, Iowa. She with her husband, Albert Dunn, resided during their early married life in Harrisburg township and their children were born there and it was there her husband died about 25 years ago. Soon following the death of her husband she moved to Bentonsport where she continued to reside until five years ago when she moved to Oskaloosa to make her home with her son George.
In July last she went to visit with her son Frank in Garden City, Kansas, where she died on the date named, at the age of 73. Mrs. Dunn was held in high esteem by all her acquaintances. The body was brought to this county for interment, the burial being at the side of her husband in the Dibble cemetery Monday of this week, the funeral services being in charge of Rev. Pool of Fairfield, formerly M.E. minister at Bentonsport and Utica.
