BURNETT, GRIMM, MILLER, MCDANIEL, BIDDLE

Effie Grimm was born in Lee County, Iowa, Feb. 25, 1876, died at Bonaparte, Iowa, Sept. 27, 1908, being 32 years, 7 months and 2 days.

She was married to Grant Burnett, Feb. 15, 1893; to this union two children were born, harry, who is 12 and Willard 3 years. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband and two sons, a father, A.J. Grimm, two brothers and four sisters: Chas. Grimm of Des Moines; Mrs.Clara Miller and Mrs. Minnie McDaniel of Farmington; Mrs. Lizzie Biddle of Big Mound; Mrs. Alice Miller of Keokuk, and a host of friends.

In early life she gave her heart to her Savior, and at the early age of 13 years and 8 months she united with the Bethel Baptist church. In Dec. of 1899 she united by letter with the Bonaparte Baptist church where she retained her membership until Sunday September 27, 1908, when she was called from the "church Militant" to the "Church Triumphant."

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, an obedient daughter and helpful sister, a sympathetic friend and kind neighbor.

A large number of sympathizing friends gathered together both at Story Chapel and Sharon Church where the funeral services were conducted by Alfred Trenerry of Bonaparte assisted by Rev. Blagg of the Mt. Sterling M.E. Church.

The remains were laid to rest in the Sharon Cemetery.
