Myrtle Rehkopf

Myrtle Rehkopf, 85, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 1991, at Willow Garden in Marion.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Harold Gilleney officiating. Burial will be in Dibble Cemetery at Stockport. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church in Ottumwa.

Mrs. Rehkopf was born May 20, 1906, near Stockport, the daughter of Ed and Kathryn Madden Walker. She married Floyd G. Rehkopf on Aug. 4, 1926, in Fairfield. He died May 15, 1960. She was a country school teacher, a housemother at Parsons College and Simpson College and was resident director of the YWCA in Ottumwa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottumwa, Unitd Methodist Women and Kings Daughter Circle.

Surviving are a daughter, Etta Marlene Fleming of Marion, five grandchildren and a great-grandson. A son, Richard; three brothers, Melvin, Merlin and Edwin Walker and a sister, Margaret Regur, preceded her in death.
