Julia M. Moore, 87, Calu Apartments, died at 2:37 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson Nursing Home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
Mrs. Moore was born May 23, 1900 in Lick Creek Township, Van Buren County, the daughter of Thomas M. and Nina Laughlin Doud. She lived in the Stockport-Birmingham community until moving to Fairfield two years ago, and worked for many years as a nurse's aide at the Moore Nursing HOme in Stockport. She married Tom E. Moore March 6, 1918 at her parents' home near Birmingham.
Surviving are two sons, Robert, Birmingham; William, East Peoria, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a grandson, a brother and a sister.
