Frances Marie Tedrow, 74, of Birmingham died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Fuenral Home, with the Rev. Harold Baker and the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery near Birmingham.
Open visitation will be held from 3:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tedrow was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Kilbourne, the daughter of Ray and Lula Schleeter Gates. She was married to Thomas Gerald Tedrow March 9, 1950, in Keosauqua.
She lived all of her life in the Kilbourne and Birmingham area.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Her hobbies included gardening.
Survivors include her husband of Birmingham; one daughter Charlene Grooms and husband Dan of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Charles Tedrow and wife Joanie of St. Clair, Mo.; four grandchildren, Chad and Tiffany Tedrow and Kimberly and Thomas Grooms; two sisters, Irene Topping of Birmingham and Ruth Plowman of Donnellson; and one brother, Duane Gates of Douds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Clarence Gates; and one infant grandson, Colour Jarel.
