Ferdinand Fahr died at the soldiers home in Dayton, Ohio, on Friday last and the remains were laid to rest in the national cemetery at that place on Sunday. The sad intelligence reached here on Saturday, and too late to enable the relatives to reach the city for the ceremony. The old gentleman was well known to our people, having on several occasions visited this city and all extend deepest sympathy to the bereaved ones.
