John Anderson Robinson was born in Chester county, Pennsylvania, June 4, 1831 and died at his home in Keosauqua, Iowa, March 8, 1904, aged 72 years, 9 months and 4 days. On January 30, 1855, he was married to Miss ??len Smith of Keosauqua, who died Dec. 11, 1891. Four children were born to this union. Of these only Mr. James Robinson in Oklahoma and Miss Nellie Robinson of Keosauqua, are living, both of whom were present at the buiral, the daughter being with him during his affliction and at his death. For several years Mr. Robinson resided in Kansas, but most of his life was ???ssed in Van Buren county. He was a man of postive convictions and actions and of high character. All that knew John Robinson respected him and he ???es with his relatives and ???nds the best legacy of human ???? a good name. The funeral ??? Friday of last week at the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. ?? Perkins, the interrment being in Purdom cemetery.
