Mrs. Iowa Brown died in Bonaparte at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. She had been ill for several years.

The daughter of A. Delbert and Mary Sharder Kirsch, she was born at Bloomfield on Feb. 21, 1869 [sic 1889]. She was married at Bonaparte to the late John W. Brown on Nov. 6, 1907. She lived in Chicago for several years, returning to Bonaparte 22 years ago.

Surviving are four sisters; Mrs. Mae Stone and Mrs. Nellie Frauenholz, both of Chicago and Mrs. Hattie Kerr and Mrs. Della Cox, both of Bonaparte; three grandchldren and six great grandchldren. A son, two daughters, four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Last rites were held at the Bonaparte Baptist church, of which Mrs. Brown was a member, at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6. Burial was at Bonaparte.
