DOUDS - Mrs. Georgia Staubus, 83, former Douds resident, died Sunday at 4:50 p.m. at Bethesda General Hospital following a short illness.
Arrangements are pending at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

DOUDS - Last rites for Mrs. Georgia Staubus, 83, will be Wednesday at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
Mrs. Staubus, a resident at Friendship Haven at Fort Dodge, died Sunday in Bethesda General Hospital in Fort Dodge.
The services will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Leando Cemetery.
Mrs. Georgia Staubus was born Oct. 23, 1889, at Gilroy, Calif. Her marriage to Ira E. Staubus took place April 27, 1909, at Spokane, Wash. They farmed in Van Buren and Davis Counties and lived at Mingo for a number of years.
In 1941 they moved to Murray where Mrs. Staubus lived until she moved to Fort Dodge in 1962. Her husband died in 1961. She was also preceded in death by four sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alice Fredrickson, Rollo, Mo., and Mrs. Ardella Bittner, Osceola; three sons, Henry L., Indianola; Murl E., Santa Cruz, Calif.; and John W., Minneapolis, Minn.; along with 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Murray United Methodist Church.
